Sister of Battle Seraphim

Here’s my latest piece painted for the Conflict Manchester Painting Competition. A standard unconverted Sister of Battle Seraphim, Order of the Bloody Rose. Mostly she’s painted with Vallejo paints but the Golden NMM on the sword & icon are GW. The red is enhanced/glazed by a thinned coat of Winsor’& Newton's Deep Red Ink, which helps to tie the layers of red together nicely. The Black robes have been given several coats of Winsor & Newton’s Paynes Grey to bring out the Blue/Black and then worked up with thin coats of Blue and Grey mixed into give the softer highlights. I’m quite happy with the NMM on the sword as it was intended as being a little darker on the main part of the weapon. I think it’s worked out OK. As always comments appreciated.

Another great job Mike, the only thing letting it down a bit is the base i like it but its not the best base you've done, I think the base is sometimes just as importent as the model its self, but still very good.

I like the color scheme. I'm having mixed emotions about the base.
