Elf ranger painted for a friend. Wanted mail rather than fabric tunic. Any advice on better ways of painting mail? Thanks

THe other option would be to take modeling putty (known commonly as "green-stuff") and apply a very thin layer over the tunic area and then use a very narrow object like a blunt needle or a mechanical pencil lead and poke lots of holes in it-- that is how they sculpt chain on the minis that have it.

Thanks, may take a little practice that one! Reaper did not have an elf ranger with bow and mail, hence this figur.
