I quite like the base. The mini has personality and the high-contrast robes have visual impact. That said, the chalky highlights from drybrushing don't look that good, and his eyes are a little starey (yes he might be staring but they look too big). You may not be a "pro painter", but I've seen a lot worse sold on eBay.
