Skaven Ratling Gun Team

This is one of GW's Skaven Ratling Gun teams. This was mainly an excuse to experiment with different ways of painting metallic surfaces, so everything else on these guys has been kept deliberately drab. These guys were fun. As usual, this was photographed using a 2.0 megapixel Fuji FinePix 2800Z using the macro function. My lighting rig consists of three clip lamps with 100 watt GE Reveal lightbulbs. Enjoy.

@Mallius: I made the base upside down because I have a scenic army base for my Skaven army and I hate the way the holes for the bases have to be wider than the top of the base if you use them right side up. This way, it's practically seamless.

it's interesting what you did with the base on this model, i think the ideal of having the wider surface at the top and the flat surface at the bottom might potentially have it's merits. Any particular reason you built the model this way? Great job on the painting of this mini, I've been a fan of the skaven for years now. Well done!

I love the expressive faces and the pestilent tail on the front gunner. As for themetallics, I think they turned out pretty good - well worn and typical Skaven quality.
