[REAPER MINI] Knight Templar

This is my third mini that I've managed to paint. I'm actually pretty proud of this one despite some of the flaws with it. I managed this one it about three hours and had a lot of fun with it. Wish I did more with the shield (haven't gotten the hang of painting 'wood' yet). I just heard about NMM and I'm kind of keen on how that would work out, though I've still got some reading to do before I feel confident enough to try that.

You're very well along with your 3rd figure. You've got 3 things working against you with this figure. 1. image size - better to display 1 big view rather than 4 smaller views (image height=400 pixels or so), 2. image lighting/background - try using 'daylight' bulbs in your lamps to illuminate the mini (it will help eliminate the 'yellow' from normal bulbs), also try a blue background (I use a couple different shades of 'scrap booking' paper from Michaels), 3. red! - maybe the hardest color to manipulate. A nice clean job.

For your third model this is really quite impressive, even more so if the design on the shield was done free-hand. The highlights on the cloak are nice and smooth, but on the armour it all seems the same shade of grey. Even if you're not trying NMM, you should try and paint shape shadows on metal to define the edges nicely. Great work.
