Azaroth - Tyrant of Hell
Hello all :) Painted this for the recent Groundforge Paintathon 1 (in Nov 2004). It didn't place, but it was fun to do. Took about 25 to 30 hours with all the redoing. I ended up doing this thing about 3 times over, wings 4 times before I got something that I thought looked remotely nice. I think if I redid it now, with this same colour scheme, it would prob take 8 to 10 hours if I did it non stop. Please leave comments as I need to improve :) :) :) (and yes, that is a ring I put thru the hole in the left wing, no the hole is part of the model :) THe light sourcing on the base was my 2nd attempt. I know it's not light sourced all over the model as it should be, if he really was standing on a mound of bones and mud in a lake of lava, but I didn't want to chance the scheme for the devil's legs, etc :) Next time I will go further with the added effects (and see how bad it screws it up! :) hehhehehehehe I know the photos r a bit dark as well and the rear shot is kinda blurry :(
