Nymph

Painted for a friend. The skin colours are as they show, pretty much. Painted her as relatively tanned, then stuck her on a dungeon dweller backgroun of similar colour... hehehe. The shells that make up her bikini bottom were not very well detailed on this one, so honestly, I didn't even realize what they were until I saw some of the otheres here where the detail was better. Oh well. The blacklining is a little less consistent that I'd like... I have no idea how some others here do it so finely. I was playing with camera settings and still have more tweeking to do, so some parts could be better to show off more, but I've not posted in a while, so here it is. :)

Katana_Angel... thanks. I've actually known that for quite some time, but fer some brain dead reason I always forget to work that way!! :) The one I'm working on currently in deed does this and it helps a bunch. Regarding the bringing out too much yellow, monitor dependant, the colours on her flesh are pretty close to the real mini... and they are what I was going for. One o these days I'll stop posting my pix at 2X actual size. :)

I've found that what helps with 'blacklining', at least for me, is do it before you paint the main color(s) around it. That way you can try to sharpen the edge, or thin up the line if its too thick. Also, the background being the same color can sometimes throw the 'overall' coloring off with the mini-- it brings out too much yellow in the other colors. Although overall, I think this one is all right. I like this sculpt. :)
