Pillar of Good

Painted for my DM/Friend. He likes it so much he wants me to do another the same way... Anyway, with the super macro images, I can see a few flaws, but they aren't that bad, and nearly impossible to see with the naked eye. Thanks for voting and especially for comments. To be honest, if you've got the gall to rate this at or below a 5, then have the guts to actually post a comment as to why.

this could really do with some highlighting overall and even a bit of outlining on the vines. Although the marble veins are a fair effort, in real pieces of marble the veins are never pure black, but gradate from light grey to black.

Hi snake, Ok, let's see. I was going to leave comments via mini-painter, but figured this was more appropriate. First, there needs to be more subtler blends on the moon/star, the ankh, and especially the rock on the bottom. Try thinning your paints more and taking your base color and highlight color and mix them together, then take this mixed color and blend the contrasting edges between the two. You can even keep mixing the colors and keep blending the edges til it's not visible. If you look at my Neophant (#10032), you'll see that there aren't any harsh contrasts in the blends. I used very watered down paint to achieve that. I've also come to realize that the scores are VERY subjective. This, in my opinion (and that's all that is), is TT quality, but just barely because of the blends. I'm very harsh in the judging of my own minis, and that applies all around.
