Reaper Female Justicar
This was a belated Xmas gift. I must admit I was tempted to hold onto it for a D&D character I have which as of yet still has no corresponding miniature. The scratches on the shield and armour are painted on... more inspiration from Kaple's work. I also finally decided to try highlights in the eyes; I'm quite pleased with it. Simple technique, just requires a very fine point on the brush. I made an effort to paint the highlights much more prominently than usual in an attempt to "paint for photography." I think the highlights are TOO prominent now. Sooner or later I will achieve that happy medium of subtlety and exaggeration so that a mini will look good in the photo. C'est la vie. Kep
