Confrontation Kayl Kartan

This was painted for a character in my D&D group; a Necromancer naturally! I didn't like Kayl Kartan's original hair (horns? Just what the heck ARE those?), so I removed it(them) and replaced it(them) with a more mundane green stuff hairstyle. Inspired by other artists, some of my recent figures have included painted-on battle damage. I wanted to see how far I could push it, so I went for patchwork stitching and a crossbar padding on his leather armour. And, of course, there's some little nicks on his blades. The armour didn't photograph well. I'd used inks for some of the crossbars and it sort of faded away in the photo. I think my favorite part of this miniature is the hairdryer thing he's got hanging off his belt. Because after all, who sends their zombies into battle without tarting them up a bit? Kep

Great job on the stitching, and pattern. I'm not crazy about the skin tones. It's very ruddy for someone who sleeps most of the day and spends his time with the dead, near-dead and undead. The blow dryer is a larf, but it probably was meant to go with his previously spikey hair-do. Now that he has the Caesar hair cut, you'll want to file that thing down to a fine black ACE comb. ;^)
