On to Valhalla (Parkinson Valkyrie)
While painting this mini, I was reminded of the movie the 13th warrior and before going into a battle where they expect certain death, the vikings recite a poem captured above. I thought I'd try to capture that w/out any blood and gore by showing an old tombstone and a fresh tomebstone ... the valkyrie has come to take the newly fallen to Valhalla ... where the brave may live forever. A few technical bits ... this is the first time I've used Woodland Scenics snow and liked the way it came out ... I put down about five or six layers w/ white glue and it really came out nice and "fluffy." The terrain was sculpted with Celluclay (an instant paper mache) and the headstones and tree are some old ArmorCast resin bits I had about. I hope you like her ... I thought she came out very soft and elegant.
