Eyecatching! I like some of the freehand but the blends are very rough. Try to thin your paints more when applying layering then the transitions will flow into each other more. You can also glaze the transition with a very thin version of the previous highlighting layer. I don't know if you use this trick with banners. But to get a more even surface to paint on, spray the paper first with Matt Varnish. Not bad.
