Eldar Guardian

This is the first guardian I had a bash at. Now I just have to get the production line painting going so I can get a squad of these chaps churned out. I picked out the armour plates in codex grey which seems to look a lot lighter in this photo than it does on the actual model. Also my fist shot at doing highlighting (on the gun and the helmet if you can't tell) seems to have been exagerated by the camera flash. It honestly doesn't look as garish as that in real life. I am just starting out at painting mini's so any advice anyone cares to throw my way will be welcome. :)

i ll give you an 8 to push your score up. your mini is good and doesnt deserve such a low rating. a few tips though: 1. BASE your minis! simply add a little sand, flock or static grass and your mini will look so much better! 2. maybe add some more highlights, but thats nothing you have to do. you paint well and i like the mini. buy a sack of static grass (or sand, cheaper ;) ) and simply stick it onto the base and you will see the difference. keep up the good work! 6 (paintjob) + 1 when its based + 1 to push up the score ;)

When this mini has got some flock on it's base it's more than the sad 4.3 it has now. I think the helmet has turned out pretty well. Solid table top quality, not much wrong with it.
