Progress

The little black dude is me- in my Lorrica sculpted 2003 At the time I was pretty proud of it but knew I could do better if I had practice. Later I decided to make a 'career' of sculpting and started to practice. The 54mm version was started around Jan 2004, roughly a year later and after hundreds of hours of drawing and sculpting. For 54mm he is ok ( better than I was at the time as I was pretty chubby then and sculpted him as such). Still he had some pretty obvious areas that needed improvement such as clean crisp detail. The 'original 35mm' version was to be a 1:48 scale version of me but I realized that nearly everyone assumes a scale figure is 6 ft tall... I'm not and this figure was so I stopped working on him and started the slightly shorter version which I finished Aug 2005 (He is now much thinner than his chubby 54mm predecessor thanks to better eating and some physical activity)

Quite fun to see a progress picture, but it seems to me that the rating is a bit harsh.

Kind of like a diary in greens! Excellent stuff. The account of it all is very interesting. Your sculpting has improved tremendously.
