About
Emily, born in Middlesex, London in 1978. Was always known to her family as a very artistic and creative young girl, who would happily sit alone for many hours of constant painting; drawing; designing and making things. The painting tray would come out every weekend at her grandparents house, where her grandmother always encouraged her painting and her grandfather spent countless hours assembling and painting models with Emily.
She was first introduced to the world of painting miniatures and tabletop war gaming, by her mother, who saw Emily's ability and artistic flare at around the age of 8yrs old. She brought goblins, dwarfs and other mythical creatures home and the love affair with miniatures began.
Although Emily had an extremely difficult and upsetting childhood, she still achieved and obtained a GCSE A* grade in Art and Design at school and if anything good came of the traumatic events in Emily's life, was that hiding away with a paintbrush and channelling her emotions created great painting. her inspiration came from the Eavy metal teams work in the infamous White Dwarf magazine and the miniature hall of Warhammer world Nottingham.
Now over twenty years on, countless hours and many, many, paint pots later, Emily has created what you can now see in the gallery here at Khazad Studio and she honours the art of miniature painting. Her success comes from years of constant practice and dedication.
Emily has now finally put here wasted talent to good use and is available for commission work. Please send her an email We look forward to hearing from you.
