First time here, I used to be petrified of this site when I was younger.
I have been painting on and off since I was 13, so about 15 to 20 years.
I used to be really into warhammer 40k a lot and getting ready to paint Golden Daemon entries.
I always had the issue to chase perfection, that really didn't get me anywhere. It all came to a boiling point in 2005-2006 when the pressure got too much for me and I ended up burning out.

In 2005 I was only 1 pt away from winning best painted 40k army at a state tournament, the trick was only about 65-70% of my army was really painted ... and all I needed was to just paint my bases and I would of taken that title for that year.

But the real undoing for me was at that tournament there was Laurie Goodridge and Justin (Booster) keys.
Me and Booster where talking about me reigniting the article "mad dok grotsnik conversion clinic" for the Australasian White Dwaf.

On top of that I would be granted a feature of my Black Legion Army (when it was ready).

All of this really played on my mind, and add in a new born and I just buckled under all the pressure.
