Canadian Mafia Social Group

More out of curiosity than anything I started a Canadian Mafia social group. Don't know what the hell it does, but anyone who wants to join can. I think. I dunno. Go Canada.

First question: do I have to be Canadian?

Second question: does Canada *have* a mafia?

Do you have to be a Canadian? Dunno, but you should be able to at least do a rough sketch of a rink with the blue lines and creases marked appropriately from memory, peeing it in the snow. Need to be able to tell beer from piss, meaning no Budweiser drinkers need apply. Should probably be able to recognize tragically hi psongs from the first three bars too.

Do we have a mafia? Sure. It's a kinder gentler mafia that get's little done, but is well thought of internationally.

I don't even know how to join the social group. But it exists.

The thing that amazes me about Tim Hortons (Our massive chain of donut and Coffee shops) is that they're always full. I mean, can't get a seat at anytime kind of full. The drive through is always backed up a ton. It really, really is a Canadian Cultural phenomenon. A couple blocks down from here there are two Tim Hortons across the street from each other. Literally, across the street. They felt they were missing out on business from people who travelled in opposite directions based on the time of day. And they were right. It's amazing, their BOTH packed, constantly. I should show a pick, if I can find one.

Canada has a mafia.
Also a Yakuza, an Iranian mob, and several other nationalities have established
underworld elements.
Their territories are all neatly marked out on any city map.
You just have to know what all those symbols in the legend REALLY mean.

Good grief, its like Starbucks down here in Cali. I temped at an office tower complex once, and each tower had a starbucks cafe in it. FOUR, not even 50 yards away from each other! And, as you say, they were always crowded. Starbucks ain't half bad, but seriously...
