Link to VOTE.

The Forum of Doom (FoD) runs a diorama competition each year called the Diorama of Doom. Entries are currently being posted for this years competiton to be judged by the owners of the FoD companies (Hasslefree, Heresy, Black Scorpion and Spyglass/Eolith) on 31st October. And the picture above is mine.

Entries can be browsed here on the FoD forum.

This is my first competition and pictures and some ramblings about how it was made are also posted on my blog.

I'm not touting for votes – you can't vote its a judges decision – I'm just promoting those nice people over at the FoD and thought you might like to see some of the interesting work that's been done.

Enjoy!

This is really fun! I saw it earlier on FoD. The composition works perfectly. The interaction between the minis look natural. I love the foam effect. It looks completely believable. Good luck in the competition!

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

I know a few people here are on the FoD also, but it doesn't hurt to get a wider audience for the guys at Hasslefree and Heresy et al...

Wow, when you posted the question about how to achieve a soap bubble effect I wasn't sure it was going to be at all possible. To see how well you've pulled it off is just ace. Lots of elements to praise but the bubbles are top spot for me, congrats. B.

The effect worked brilliantly, the bubbles look very convincing :good:

I'm so trying to think of projects that could include soap bubbles now!

That's great, the soap bubble effect is really well done.

I love miniatures/diorama with a touch of comedy

those bubbles are amazing and love the humour in the piece, i think sometimes we all get a little too serious about painting minis, must make a nice break to just do something for a laugh.

Dude, you need to take your bubble tech and write a tutorial! I'd LOVE one day to do a super over weathered GW Rhino and have some guardsmen washing it clean while two Space Marines lounge, leaning on their bolters having a smoke break.

VERY well done effect!
