In honor of the movie, close your eyes, clear your thoughts, use your minds and the art of 'remote viewing' tell me what is on the top of my computer monitor. Will post in a couple of days the answer. I'm curious to see how close people with get.

For those that are unclear on the concept http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_viewing.

This is really a test to see how many CMoNer's are in the CIA.

The CIA? That's ridiculous! No covert agency would admit to being a member here...

As for the monitor, I'm going to guess... I mean "mentally reach out":

Star Wars Clix figures?
interesting shiny rock?
a cat?

Hazy, the signal is...

Undave

Flockwit
I'm going to go with dust.

Out of interest, on top of my monitor I have a tub of flock, an old graphics card, a tube of aftersun and the feet from a Mr. Potatohead. I defy anyone to have a more random collection of junk on their monitor.

Hmmm not sure if this is more random, but I have a model BMX, lego starwars yoda and darth vader, an old blob of blu tac, a micro machine AT-ST walker and a web cam, oh and a 'Lucky Duck' from Whitby :).............think it's unlucky coz it's bong eyed!!

In answer to the question (knew I'd get there eventually) my force powers (random guess) tell me you have some half painted figures and a web cam

I see... some paper... no, some sort of writing utensil... no, it's not those.

Ah yes. That's what it is.

A nude figurine of Cindy Lauper (80's version) riding a sparkly werewolf, holding a birthday cake with seven candles in one hand, and three snakes in the other that have been braided together. On her head is a monkey flinging poo.

The poo could be ice cream. Just saying.

As for the CIA, don't you know the stock response regardless of the credibility of your claim, will always be "I can neither deny nor confirm your statement". The usual way to get around that is to laugh derisively and with contempt at the one asking the ludicrous question.

Probably strawberry ice cream. That's the one that always went missing, from what I hear.

No sense of what's on top of your monitor but please make sure it isn't blocking the vents. Admittedly back in CRT land rather than LCD but I've had monitors bought into work that customers have stored mountains of paperwork/phone directories/soft toys on top of which have proceeded to cook themselves!
I'll have a guess at a cute pic of your lass though? Cheers, B.

Well, dust is partally right, but not what I was looking for.
And no, I try to keep the vents clear. I have had it for close to ten years, without any problems (lets hear it for 21 inches, well back in the day :smile-big:)

Ever seen what a fridge magnet will do to a screen? Tends to turn the screen rather purple, permanently.
Yep had several of those "motto" types found affixed to an almost brand new TRT 19" monitor.

I'm picking up some kind of model toy tank or possibly car .. a plastic cow and a random lego brick ........

I use my laptop so nothing on top of my montor but an old monitor in the bedroom doubles as a reat clothes basket storage shelf....

One partially assembled, unpainted mini that you keep meaning to get to. The very first mini you ever painted, as inspiration.

A watch, a small box of some kind and some kind of furry, fuzzy thing. Troll, perhaps?
