CMON Contest 18 - Candy & Cola from Soda Pop Miniatures

Cool Mini Or Not is always on the look out for new and different miniature companies to partner up for our monthly on-line painting competitons. This month, we have a brand new company, Soda Pop Miniatures.

Soda Pop Miniatures is a company dedicated to the creation of exclusive miniatures for the hobbyist and collector. Their range of combat characters is inspired by Tokyo-Pop culture, mixed with themes from some of your favorite manga and anime.

Candy & Cola, their mascot will be used as our October painting contest miniature. Soda Pop Miniatures will be offering prizes for the winners and selected participants.

Contest Rules:

1) You can enter as many times as you like, but all the pictures of your entries must be hosted on CMON's server. External links are no longer accepted for competition purposes.

2) Conversions, scenic bases and dioramas are welcomed.

3) When submitting your entry, make sure you put "CMON18" as your entry title. This is very important, please make a note of it.

Damn! I really need to keep myself up to date with these competitions, love the mini! But buying it just because is a bit of a bad reason for me at the moment. :/

Woot!!! Got it all finished! No pictures yet. Sorry, tomorrow for sure, right?!?! Gotta wait for the water effects to dry.

Very happy with the way the Cola War came out! Harrowing at times, and I wanted to throw the damn thing through the window on Wednesday, but I'm so excited to show it off! And I'd post pictures tonight, but again, water effects need to set.

Yeah, it was a bit of a bother. I'd already painted mine when I went to the glue. OMG! Had to bend her to her left a bit to make the leg fit better. Tried reaming out the socked some more, but that didn't help greatly either. Managed something, but have a small gap that doesn't quite look out of place.

Now I'm a bit paranoid. Need to go check her elbow for rubbed off paint. Okay, it's still good!

Well just got mine in, photos aren't too good but then neither is my entry. Still, I'm fairly happy with what I managed in two and a half interrupted hours. Good luck everybody - I'm just here to make up the numbers (as usual).

Fairly happy with how it turned out. Got me motivated, so I'm ready to go to the other poor unpainted still on the desk.
