Lurking day?

So, here we have yet another Sunday and yet another week soon to be history.
But I'm rather surprised over the inactivity on the forum a day like this, one could believe that with it being Sunday and all people would try to do as little as possible and in my eyes that means being lazy by the computer or touching up old projects (at least thinking of touching up old projects! :D )
So, yet another Sunday and yet another slow day on the forum, what are you all up to besides lurking? :)

Still recovering from nearly dying on Friday night. Probably be more active as the day goes on, though.

What happened Friday night?

Around 6 PM I stopped breathing. Not sure what happened or what caused it, but I could feel myself start to pass out, so I called 911. I managed to wheeze out that I couldn't breathe, my name and my address and then passed out; I woke up in the ambulance.

From the way it sounds, it was pretty close and a good thing I called them when I did. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be here. Even then, it took some heroic measures on the part of the EMTs to keep me alive.

After a ton of tests at the hospital Friday night and Saturday morning, they found nothing wrong with me. It wasn't an allergic reaction, heart attack, heart failure, pulmonary embolism or poison. They also coudn't find any bug/spider bites. There was absolutely nothing to explain why I stopped breathing and damn near died.

In the end, they think it may have been a combination of severe dehydration (no idea how that happened), exhaustion and a cold virus that flared up at just the wrong time. And even that is just a guess on their part.

Shit, that is scary! I mean, it's scary enough that it happened, but that there is no apparent reason for it (that they can find) must be ten times worse. I'm glad you're still with us! Hope it never happens again.

Thanks, guys; certainly glad to still be here.

And yeah, it is kind of scary; not knowing what caused it means I don't know how to keep it from happening again. I'm really hoping that it was just a weird, one-time experience.

Drink more water Hinton! Just remember which cup the brush water is!

I'd guess that the forums being slow at times (noticed this on Saturday nights as well) just means that we all have other things to do. Maybe ones that we put off while getting our weekend painting done!

Better check the heaters, vents, etc in your house and make sure they're not leaking CO2 or something.

As for us preparing for our holiday starting Friday. Doing the rounds of North Wales. Looking forward to a Free visit to PortMerion village, where The Prisoner was filmed.

It's 30 minutes left in a 13+ hour work day for me. The last of the overtime before the end of the year. I'll be back at it come January probably but I'm looking forward to the rest.

Got a CO (carbon monoxide) alarm? (looks kinda like a smoke detector).

Something from the play? Alergy to the makeup? (spirit gum or remover? for that stache)
