An afternoon snack

People with sensitive arteries, please ignore this thread. :D

So, I'm bored, I have the munchies and I'm way too lazy to arse myself out into the snow to go buy expensive candy.

So, I thought I'd share a yummy simple recipe for a quick and tasty bit of candy.

you need a glass, a teaspoon, a yolk and some sugar.

It is important that there is no fetus or albumen left on the yolk, just a clean yellow blob here, thank you.

Put the yolk in the glass, add about ten teaspoons of sugar and then whip for all your'e worth. Getting a cramp yet? Good, stir some more then. :D Don't stop until it is fluffy and creme-ish coloured.

What next? Eat it! Tastes wonderful and sure as hell satisfies those munchies!

Sounds like a classic egg-nog. I used to love that when I was a kid... somehow I don't eat it anymore... don't know why...

I see there's supposed to be milk and cream in egg-nog as well, but my mum used to do it like you described.

Yeah, being a creature who disapproves of milk I've kinda ignored those ingredients in my candy. :D

Eating it too fast gives you one hell of a heartburn though

nah meringue uses the white only. an interesting way of using what's left over when you have made meringues though...

or of course you could make lovely creme brulees

But chicken unfertelised chicken fetus is ok? :p (I'm kidding)

At the moment I'm kinda off eggs, I work on a poultry farm and sort many thousands of eggs on saturdays for less that minimum wage and in under 10C temp... Also eggs have the tendancy to explode.. not fun when it drips through a whole stack of eggs...

What is it with people and Avacado. Always feels slimy to me, over-rated.
But Salsa and melted cheese I'd go for that.
Second that!

@Alex: I just can't stand the taste of it. Never have. ...And I did say that you should remove the fetus! XD

Avocado on its own isn't that interesting, but it is lovely in combination with other stuff. An excellent thing to put in a sallad, for instance.

Things are a lot clearer once I realized we've moved onto Acocado rather than the eggy drink advocaat I misread it as! Slimey!?! :D B.
