I made a jet powered bike!!..........'it's only a model'

Sculpted this about 8 years ago. It's around 6 inches long, 3 1/2 wide, 3 1/2 tall. The bulky parts were from resin and much of the rest is styrene. Painted with silver sparkle and then transparent red. REALLY like how this came out.

really neat! i enjoy the mix of retro (chopper) and futuristic/modern (jetfighter) aesthetics.

All helmets produced for the infantry before and during 1914 were made of leather. As the war progressed, Germany's leather stockpiles dwindled. After extensive imports from South America, particularly Argentina, the German government began producing ersatz Pickelhauben made of other materials. In 1915, some Pickelhauben began to be made from thin sheet steel. This is one where form definitely overtook function. Half throttle and your face get's peeled off from the wind blast!!:beerwave:

Well, I guess I'm a wimp. But *I* say that the day I choose 'cool' over 'road rash' hasn't come yet.
And knowing what Erin went through, it won't ever. You DO know how they take care of heavy road rash, right?
