The next installment is here!

Hey,

I've just realised that there was a glitch with the next installment, it's been scheduled to go out for a couple of weeks, but it didn't because of some such computery mysteriousness. However, it's up now, all shiny and ready to go, you can see it here, and I can't wait to see people's first attempt at clothes/legs/trousers!

Thanks all,

James

I found my anatomy book, and tore out all the relevant pages for the project! It was a cheap book, but has some really nice anatomical views and muscle structure.

lol!I don't think you are in any danger of draining me, I am really enjoying this, even though it is taking far far far more of my time than I ever thought possible. It is forcing me to think logically and is to be coherent in the way that I sculpt. Despite this miniature taking weeks, nay months, in comparison to the couple of days that he would have taken otherwise, I think I am going to become a much better sculptor as a result of this experience. Furthermore, the real pleasure in all of this is gained from watching you guys post your work in progress shots, I feel proud of every last one of them, as though I had done myself!), I've been away for the weekend, so now I shall descend upon the work in progress threads and see what is happening. woo!

Ok Guys and Gals, the next installment is up - sculpting the torso. We look at bulges, buttons, buckles, belt loops, and bellys. If you're having trouble, you can always post to your wip, and I'm happy to help. I know there are some updates I haven't reviewed yet, I can't now, not time, and I'm falling asleep on my keyboard, but I'll look tomorrow after work :)

Thanks!

really good one, too. i appreciate how you describe working with the putty at each step. its definitely helped me improve. my favorite aspect of your tutorial is your inclusion of the creative process. its comforting to know you wrestle with the same issues i do.
