Help with Space Hulk Terminator

Hi all,
this is my first post here, I am thinking about entering the dead terminator from space hulk in a local painting competition.

I have attached some photo's of where I am at now, any advice or tips would be great. I know that there is a heap of work left to do on him and there is heaps of time before the competition so I am not in any rush. Anyway enough chat, the miniature

Right side

Looking at the photo's what I can see that really needs a lot of improvement (a long list but here goes)
The pelvis wings aren't done at all
The cloth thing needs tidying up and smoother transitions into the shadows (mayde a different shadow colour?)
Goblets on the LHS need sharpening up
Highlights added to the black
Have a rethink about the external wiring (I have done a very poor job of the black and yellow) suggestions
General tidying up where I have rubbed off paint
Need to add battle damage (will do that last I guess) tips would be great for this

Oh and the back of the chair and a base

Anything else would be great

One thing I can mention is the green gem stones.

You need to reverse your colours, your greens are at the top and is should get progressively lighter towards the bottom. And on the darkest point at the top section (but not the very top most point), a small pure white dot to give the impression of reflection.

Thanks, I forgot to say that it is supposed to be lit from the floor, I was imagining some kind of emergency strip lighting that turned on when the door to the room was opened by whoever was comig through, that's why the gems are upside down, or is that still wrong.

Cheelfy, They are the 2 best of the miniatures on the site that I could find as well, the dust and aging on Darkeldar's one is cool, I would love to know how he did it, and the other one is just really smoothly painted.
