A new painting fiend!

I've done something I previously thought impossible. I've converted the girlfriend into a mini painter. We love going to the local game shop and checking out the books and miniatures, and on saturday we were visiting at peak hours. (the BO was horrifying. People, freaking bathe!) She was looking through the cavalry models since she loves horses, but her eyes alighted on the box of Dire Wolves.

I'm afraid there were excited little chirping noises and something I've come to realize is a happy dance. After asking me what they were and if GW had any lame rules about paint colours she snatched up the box and threw her 110 lb body through the maelstrom of geeky men like a professional running back. She waited impatiently at the counter for a moment behind a bunch of guys looking through Magic: The Gathering binders and loudly declared that she was ready to buy something. Now. I primed the models for her while prepping my Lt. Kara, and she began painting with a fervor.

Two things:
1) She's an art student, and thus does a significantly better job painting than I do. On her first freaking model. -_-
2) I probably had nothing to do with her converting, but I feel I can take credit anyways.

And I have to admit to having done a "Happy Dance" myself when finding a mini that I've been searching for ages to get hold of.........Not a pretty sight!
