Just to let you all know there's a fire about 3-4 miles from here. Right now it's burned 4500 acres. My son and his friends may have to be evacuated so they may be showing up here. One of us will keep you posted but keep us in your thoughts please.

It got Really close last night but it's moving away from us now. Lots of smoke though. For now it's all clear. BTW, they've re-maned it the Crown Firw.

Hey cali isnt all that bad. Only if you live in the desert area. The coast and beach isnt so bad .
Earthquakes are nothing! like rolling waves! Tornadoes! now thats something to be afraid of.... O crap there goes the roof again hunny lol

Nah, most of our towns have tornado magnets that pull the tornados away from the houses and such.

They are also known as Trailer Parks.

For some reason earthquakes take out motor homes first. They are disaster magnants.


Update: The base camp for the fire fighters is right behind my son's friend's house. The fire has moved well to the west of us. we'll be fine for now unless the winds change to blow south east. We don't even have that much smoke here considering how close we are to the fires.

The thing about this fire is generally it's a grass fire. Moves hot and fast but doen't leave enough fuel behind for it to back-track on itself.

I'll keep you posted but for now it looks like we'll be ok.
