A note of Doom and Gloom.

No not that I'm going, but yesterday I saw the layout floorplan for GD UK....What a disaster.
Only three halls, One of which, with the seating, is hosting the participation games, Black Library, General Sales stand AND The Forgeworld Sales Stand.

Now Forgeworld is always a bloody nightmare for crowding and stupidity, but this year words fail me as to what F**wit planned that out.

My usual moaning of the Demon issues aside, there surely has to be some Health and Safety regulations regarding putting SOOOOOO many sweaty kids in a confined space....

good luck all!

I have to agree with you there sooo not planned out right. I've stopped even trying for FW cos its too broken to fight your way to the front of the stand. One day there is going to be a serious accident in that crowd there and GW will have no-one to blame but themselves.

eh, I was there- no entries this year, but I have next years sorted. I got lucky with FW and got there in the first 10mins, before the scrum had too much momentum. It was alright, but failed to meet the bar set by last year IMO.

One Humble Question from me: Why don´t you guys simply order whatever you want using the preorder eMail from Forgeworld, then simply pick it up at a time when everyone is going home...?... It´s how I get everything year after year, no queue, no sweating kids, nothing... Simply tip - tap there at about 3 pm and pick my stuff up...

Thats a good plan, ill remember that for next year. I usually just luck my way through especially this year in which i got done in 5 minutes...I think its the total chaos that people wish to see changed.

the queue for the prorder stand was as long, if not longer, than the normal FW stand, and with both stands sharing tills (or till, i only saw one :/ ) it didnt matter. it seriously sucked. but hey, at least you can buy Direct order miniatures, I mean, even though the blister pack racks are so far behind the sales stand that you can't actually see what is in stock and thus are forced to wait and ask a salesperson for a specific miniature, only toi find that they have no idea where the miniature would be, whether they actuall have any and how much they are.

yeah, it was fun.

Because This year with the Forgeworld stand being right beside the stage area that was not happening.
Besides there are still people who didn't get there pre-orders.
