Assuming you're going for gold NMM, I think you need to work a little more yellow in. Also, Make sure to highlight it all the way up to white. Other than that it looks pretty good!

Looks pretty good but def needs more of a yellow tint to look like gold. Pushing the contrast between the light and dark areas will help make the gold areas look more shiny.

Thanks for your comments. I know that my gold and my NMM in general needs more contrast but I was too afraid to push highlighting and shading that far on my first ateempt. I'm feeling more confident now so I'm definitely going for stringer contrast in my next NMM attempts.

Being the deal with NMM is you want sharp contrast he comes across more as just a tan sanguinar. Solid painting non the less but I would say would more in from going from one end of the spectrum to the other.

You should start from bronze I Think, then try to bled it into goldish yellow or something. Depending on your
preferences, yellowish gold or brownish gold (hope you'll get it). Keep on working, cheers

Yes. Your Gems look gold, the body looks a bit more tan. Great job for a first run though, and your painting is excellent none-the-less.

That said, consider this SERIOUSLY first because at some point if you ever want to take them out and they've been stretched beyond much where they are right now, you're going to have deformed earlobes.

Fail forum troll is fail?

On topic though, as a first attempt I think the piece is quite good, I'm going to be trying out my first few test items for NMM myself over the next few days, so the comments made about your guy have all been jotted down!

Over all even if the effect wasn't as contrasted as it should've been, the piece is still very well painted, nice mini! ;)

Edit: Just noticed he's already been banned.
