if you've got the trotts then i recommend flat coke, give the bottle a shake ;et the fizz out let it stand for a while till it goes really flat you should get fluids and sugars without having to do the butt flush shuffle.

That's a great one as well, gets you the salts as well. Though health-wise the rest of the stuff in there is something to ignore. :)

I drink a litre a day minimum, I'm fine, little shakey in the morning with a massive hangover but fine!

the shuffle is only the liquids...anything more solid that a few crackers comes right back the way they went in.
Doing better today, soup is seemingly staying down. But I am SO F*CKING HUNGRY!!

I've been in the same state of mind while leaking, it's ok. I may have been under the influence of legal liquid substance at the time though.

Much better now. Soup stayed down, crackers added, everything seems to be back in order. Didn't have to resort to lemonade salt water remedy. Which is good, smells less than appealing. MAybe it will clean the drains...LOL.

Jester and I were discussing charities and I noticed someone said something about not necessarily going with a "local" charity. By that do you mean local to Jester or the US?

Anyway, we wanted to get everyone's opinion on my suggestion.

Some of you know that my brother, Joe, was murdered back in 2008. In remembrance of him my family has started a charity called The Joe 15 Team. They are a recognized non-profit organization providing children of all ages with after school and weekend activities that give back to the community. They volunteer at senior centers, homeless shelters, hold fund raisers and toy/clothing/food drives and they also present 2 students every year with a scholarship to continue their education. This is an organization run out of the basement of my parents home and is growing rapidly. Where they were a club at only one school at the inception of this project they now service more than 10 schools in their local area and they are continuing to grow every day. They are in the newspapers regularly regarding the events they hold and they have won several awards for excellent service. All of the kids I have met who are involved in The Joe 15 Team love helping out and are more mature than any other kids I know. They have an appreciation for life, the comforts they have and they understand the importance of giving back.

On a side note, we may be able to make the donations tax deductible. My parents have experience with receiving donations and providing paperwork for tax purposes. This is something I can discuss with them and figure it out.

i realise im only a spectator in this project of yours but i will stick my nose in and say that i think this charity sounds like a good idea, thumbs up from me.

I certainly wouldn't mind. Feels a lot better to let the donations go to a charity that one of the participants have a real connection to rather than some random tired old name where you don't really know where the money goes except for administrative work.

And my dad collects minis so in a round about way . . . we can make it about minis dagnabbit! :p

Jester if you need any help with the charity side of things let me know. Otherwise my mom's contact info is on the website. Just let them know you are one of my friends, preparing to do an auction and want the proceeds to go to the charity. My dad should have some ideas on how to handle making the donations tax deductible.

You can decide to donate directly to the scholarship fund or the Joe 15 Team as a whole where the money would go to organizing more events.
