I invariably have a glass of Cherry-Coke somewhere nearby, for those emergency situations. Reaching for the cup of tea only to find it empty and the telly program, DvD or lazyness prevents that being remedied immediately.

Had a couple of years in the Pepsi camp. A girlfriend went off with a bloke that worked for the Coke company and wasn't about to contribute 0.0000000000000001 to his wages. Couldn't quite convinve myself I preferred the stuff though. Least it was better than anything "diet", all that "no-added-sugar" malarky tastes like it has soap in it to me.

They taste the same once the Vodka/Rum/Brandy has been added....especially once you have had a few

Agree w. Supervike, Dr. Pepper all the way. But since it's not on the poll, Coke! Too much caffeine in either one for me though anymore, now I mostly stick w. Ginger Ale.

Root beer* :soldier:

I'm so over cola. I had been a die-hard Coke man all my life, switching to Diet Coke whenever it was it came out over here and I got to be a regular addict (not quite as much as my wife was, but between us we'd go through 8-12 litres of Diet Coke a week, nearly continuously for a few years). I started to cut back in '99 and was very happy to discover that was a good idea when I found out about the toxicity worries concerning aspartame.

These days my tastes have changed anyway and I recently realised I don't enjoy Diet Coke any more and now like Coke Zero, which is pretty close to being a clone of Pepsi Max. So I'd probably have to go with being a Pepsi guy now which will please my sister no end as she works for them!

*A&W or Mug probably top of my list; although Jones is good it's a bit pricey.

I miss Root Beer Einion. McDonalds used to sell it & I could find beige cans of A&w in the odd newsagents but nowadays it doesn't seem to be about. Morrisons do stock one, along with a ginger beer, that's all pretend fancy but at 99p for a tiny glass bottle it's a bit of a luxury treat. I did find a 2 litre bottle in a supermarket a couple of years ago but it was stuffed full of artificial sweetner so I didn't buy it :(

Once a month or so I buy a can of Cherry Coke on a weekend morning at the newsagents if I'm feeling muddy headed so I guess that's the camp I fall into. Plus a third (?) or so of Europe's Coke is manufactured locally so I guess I'm supporting local jobs (hey, it makes me feel better about it!).

Cheers :) B.

Already voted, but realized I didn't mention I also own Coke's stock. Not that their dividends even come close to how much I consume.

LMFAO! That's brilliant! Can't stop laughing, then I have to play it again and it gets worse!
....oh...OH that's fucked it..."

You know a rainy day dementia project would be to put a conversation together from a single poster and use quotes for the entire conversation from the same person....
It would be fun to see, especially given the colorful and character laden postings on this site.
