Depends on what you want, and how good you want the sculpt to be. You could pay anything from £50-£100, to upwards of £500+ depending on who you speak to and what you want. Easiest thing to do is simply email folk who you like with images of the design and see what happens.

Some other basic rules of thumb that might help:
simple up-and-down figure, cheap end;
complex figure (more stuff on it and/or more detailed style), expensive end;
And:
well-known sculptor, expect to pay a premium;
relative unknown sculptor, cheaper end (but dependent to some degree on quality of output).

All in all the old rule of thumb applies - you pay for what you get / you get what you pay for.

I'm working with a very well known sculptor and it's costing me £300 for a 54mm figure- this includes the sculpting and 2 resin master copies that he'll produce for me. I definately think it's worth the price because of the level of quality I want and the sculptor's reputation/skill level.

That seems very reasonable.

Yep, I'm very happy with the price. I know this guy's work, so there's no concern about quality. Also, I know that I want my company to offer quality miniatures, so I'l willing to pay for it.
