cheers ppl, i do my worst with the skintones 
no need to worry b, in my perfect world there would be no sculpting or cleaning of miniatures, only painting but its fun that once a while sculpt something, i might give it another go to scratchbuild something, someday...

thanks chris! im curious what youve been up to lately, any new sculpts?
Im searching the icon/heraldy for clan moulder, for the banner im going to paint. if someone got an image of the icon i be more than happy!

I ll check the forelast WD Issue. There are several clans with pictrues. Maybe you re lucky

ive checked the WD, not surprisingly no moulder icons there. of course i could buy the heraldy book but its rather expensive just for the icon/s...
ops! little later here xD
But damn fine painting again there Skel! nice to see how much your toning down, love it!
must say though: It would be intresting too see the 'the Skels way to mutated skintones (tm)' article-like-thing like Grinch said...
anyhow when is the next update comming??

I am loving the skintone on that rat ogre. What color are you using for the shadows on the skintone it seems to be a dark brown.
I also see that you are already teaching the youngling the ways of the paint...ray:

Well mainly catching up with xboxing and a bit of decorating lol. I have a new one, the shiny black beauty with built in wifi and 250gb HD. I was without one for two or three months so I have been doing a bit of gaming.
i was playing around with some clay last week and have half done a dark elf face - old, wrinkled etc just playing really, but it turned out pretty good so I might turn it into a bust. I bought some of that instant mould stuff you put in hot water, so I might press mould the face I have have and make a couple of variations as I quite like the idea of a using it for a wizard or warrior.

thanks! ots of colours in the shadin actually, but my new super-best-friend is vallejo's modelcolour 'dark red'. its the most used colour for shading on this model. but ive also used purple+black, magenta+black, and some dark browns. and some blue-black ink too in the darkest shading.
i do my best to prevent junior from using the paint, but he seems awfull interrested in these paint bottles...sigh!
oh man you know xbox is the root to all worlds evil? just toss the damned machine out of the window and start sculping goddamn, i hate when talent is wasted like that
seriously, keep on sculpting. im looking forward to some wips soon!

That skin is gorgeous! Fantastic shading. I like the bright pics as it lets us see all the great colors you've worked in there. I love the glow around the warpstone too, but feel like it could have one final highlight on the torn edges of skin around the stone. Don't know if you've finished his rotten melon collection yet or not. I love the bruised, rotted purple look, but think they'd benefit from picking out some yellowed teeth and milky white / gray eyes. My apologies if that's already your plan though. As its still a wip I may be telling you what you already know.

i had some plans of adding a white eyeball but not sure it actually is any in the heads hehe... also, some yellowed teeth, parhaps. not sure its worth the effort though as they are microskopic irl, lol...

Just when I start thinking that I am getting better at the smoothness, I look at a CMoN WIP and get crushed. Thanks for showing me I have a long way to go. But that skin is amazing!
