Here is a tabletop commission that I have already turned over before I looked at the pictures. I see many little flaws, but since it was tabletop quality requested, I guess it will do.

I still can't believe I am being paid to paint up a few Malifaux Crews... :) Working on a Perdita Crew now.

For some reason I can't stop staring at her crotch...

...it must be the bright highlight.
You could try being a little more sparce and precise with your top highlights, work on the placement (or blend them in but then it becomes less tabletop quality?), especially if they represent specular reflections.
Like the highlight on the top of her legs (front and back), makes you think there's a thick bulge/edge there, catching a lot of light, making it sort of looking like reflective material (representing a specular highlight). But, the leg could have more definition if the highlight followed the shape of the leg, which is cilindrical, so it is stretched vertically and spread out.

Good stuff, the bases look fun!

I think you mean CROTCH (hard word, I had to google translate :9), but yea there is one to many highlights there, otherwise solid models with some excellent and exotic basing... I'm loving! em

Oop, one of those typos where you're thinking of too many words at a time and use exactly wrong one. I usually take pride in my english vocabulary, but it is kind of useless if I don't use my brain correctly.

You are absolutely right about the crotch blob! (yup! I said "crotch-blob") It looks horrible. I am hoping I can snag the mini back from the store before the guy picks them up. then I can fix that glaring mistake at least. I have learned to photo the minis and examine them in the pics before you say you are finished. The pics just show so many little mistakes that i didn't see while painting.

I have fixed some of the highlighting errors on Myranda. Didn't have but a few minutes to make corrections before she was picked up, but I got rid of her "crotch-blobby" highlight and washed over the other extreme highlights a little.

Seriously solid for TT quality. I have the same issue with hating things and wanting to do better, end of the day though, it's what the customer asked for.
If you're anything like me on that It's SO hard not just to go all out anyway >< Awesome job to spec [higher than spec i'd say] though! Always cool to get a commission you would love to actually do haha!

Thanks TBS. Here is another commission:

I just finished up.. ,with the exception of a few eyeballs, The Perdita Crew for a friend. This was time critical and I did the crew in 2 days, in between everything else I had to do. I did not go out on a limb with any neat techniques or anything, just made sure they would fit as a cohesive unit and my friend said he wanted them to be in the desert! Must be desert. Let me know what you think.

The work on the Game-cave has been moving along ever so slowly. We are doing it all ourselves and we have zero construction experience. this will be my sectioned off Paint-Zone, complete with gate to keep the noise familiar away from sharp, stabby blades etc. The work is tiring, but fun even though all the angles are off by a little no matter what Nemissary and I do.

I hope to have some GW conversions up on my list soon :)

Ok... My desktop and laptop have both crashed and I am now using an old computer that was in the closet amd hopelessly outdated. I finally managed to get some pics uploaded, but they came out strangely small. Oh well, at least I'm back on the interwebs after a few weeks of no computers at all.

I did a Showgirls commission and I hope everyone likes it. This is my first try at such colorful painting. I left the bases a very simple laquered wood look, because anything else may make the model too confusing with all these colors. Let me know what you think. I hope the person that wanted these, likes them. They are in the mail as of yesterday morning.

Sweet! Cool to see you going at the construction yourselves. Always a rewarding endeavour, until you cut/stab/fry something you probably shouldn't and end up shit creek...not that it's ever happened to me *cough*
Agree with the bigger pics deal, the 2 day desert crew project is an immense effort given the time scale though! Nice!

Damn it to hell girl, that is some nice work!
That is good enough for most shops to use as a display and be proud of.

Strangely enough I've just bought almost all the same sets (Although the show girls were bought for me as an Easter Egg).

Thing I like about the Perdita set is that you've limited your palette which has given a very strong unifying feel to the whole group.
If and only if you were to do the Showgirls for yourself I'd suggest that you up the highlights to make a Faux shine of Satin/Silk on the most extreme creases and use a slightly paler colour for the wood darkening towards the edges of the base, causing a "Pool of light" effect.

Thanks for the tips Dragonsreach. I was going to go a little more highlight but I just had to call them done before I messed them up. :p . I am working on getting some better pics and some pics of my Game-cave construction project.
