Not a mini, but.....
I've seen a few on here, and I decided I would make a go of it.
I got a "kit" from the ebay, LOL, and it was cheap so I know it's a knock-off, but I don't care, since it is my first attempt at such a scale.

She is Lei Fang from DOA.

There are more than a few "Problem areas", that don't dry fit well. and a few air bubbles in the casting of the skirt extensions.

But I will be working on her tonight, so I figured I'd post an "Out of the box" starting image.

wish me luck!

CHange of plan.
The kit is so badly cast, that there's no way I am going to be able to get her to look right as is.
SO, I've decided to try converting her over to something more hobby related.
Can't decide.
Eldar-
--Howling Banshee
--Harlequin
Assassin (Imperium)-
A femme fatale from Warmachine/Hordes-
--Deneghra
--Kommander Sorscha
--Major Haley
--Lylyth

Something like that.

hmmm..... you're right the pose is a bit off. Unless she's smearing blood down her cheek.

The pose feels very.... sexy assassin. Femme fatale. Death cult perhaps?

I've been playing around in photoshop with the Callidus and Harlequin Ideas.
I can't decide which would be:
1.) easiest to sculpt
2.)easiest to paint
and
3.)look the best at the end.....

3) is the only thing thats improtant.

..or aint you up for a challenge? ;)

QFT, make it a piece that you'll learn as much as possible from, being large scale it is rather forgiving, small offsets won't be as visible as on small models in the end. A challenge is more fun to follow through and what gives you the best feeling when finished.

Yeah, okay.

@Kathie von Vhoorl ~ Callidus definately. There are plenty of larger scale (Inquisitor) Death Cult Assassins (Severina and Sevora).
@SkelettetS ~ I love Harley's too!
@ Chrome ~ QFT

So painting a large scale harlequin wouldn't be as challenging as trying to paint a nice ALL BLACK large scale assassin.
but Sculpting a harlequin would be harder than sculpting some attachments to the arms and a braided pony-tail.

So either it's an easy sculpt challenging paint job, or challenging sculpt and bread and butter paint job.

oh yeah and
@SkelettetS ~ Bite me...LOL.
