What kind of job do you have where you get 4 days off for easter?

5 Days for me 
Self-employed tho and obviously don't get paid (not that I care). Looking like good weather too! Here's to 5 days of being on the water and then being on the piss!

I won't be home for a couple of hours yet but am looking forward to this break. It's been a real grind since Christmas. I managed to bag the full 11 days for the price of 3 at least
Id, what kind of job do you have where you don't get four days for Easter? Retail? It's standard in the UK. Good Friday, Easter Saturday (St. George's Day this year), Easter Sunday, Bank Holiday Monday. Then the following Friday we have a bonus Bank Holiday for the royal wedding and the following Monday is May Day Bank Holiday! I have read that in the US people only get an average of 2 weeks paid holiday a year and then most only take half of it!? No idea if it's true, I recognise that the US cultural approach to work differs from the UK but I still find it odd Our European neighbours tend to get even more days a year, which can provoke jealousy, until I remind myself that if I was on your side of the pond things would be worse!

Wow...work goes on as normal for me. Seems weird to get so many days off.

I'm a systems engineer for a USA government contract. There are no federal holidays associated with easter, so we don't get the day off. Over the course of the year we get 10 paid holidays. Personally, I quite like it that way.
As for accrued vacation time I get 2 weeks per year, usually use 3/4 of it and keep the rest for an emergency, and 5 sick days in the year.
Maybe I'm just used to it.

sod that i work for the nhs and am not guaranteed anything. i have all 4 days off and can't bloody wait! oh, hang on, i don't have to - am home already!

Five days off this week for me - luverleeeee. Thats an extra day off for me on top of my 4 days a week off I get normally - big lol at everyone else (and ducks as the missiles fly at me). Oh the joys of 12 hour shifts....

Know that feeling all too well, I usually collect about 100-110 hours per month only working hours where the ordinary staff can't/won't/shouldn't. Meaning I quite often get days like yesterday; get up, go to work at 05:30, get home at 13:00, get back to work at 16:00 and get home again at 22:30. Only to have to get back at 05:30 the morning after and hope you won't have to repeat the process...

Well does anyone have some good plans for the weekend? (aside from painting)
The wife and I are making omelettes in the morning and roasting a hare for the evening. Also a Mad Max marathon.
