Heya guys and gals! How y'all doing?

I haven't been here in a long time but I'd thought I'd drop by and see how things were going. I see quite a few posts from members I know from way back when and a lot of new folks. Hello!!

I'm Kat and I was an avid mini painter until hand tremors took me out of the game. I now paint equestrian models...slightly larger scale, easier for me to deal with.

But for some reason, I keep buying the miniatures! I just bought a bunch of Andrea and Pegaso not that long ago. What was I thinking? I'm stuck on them...what can I say? lol!

Anyways, wanted to stop in and say hey! The horses are going well, I'm attending competitions ...and actually starting to do well in them. hahaha! I'm also working on commissions, so that's been entertaining and challenging to say the least.

I hope everyone is doing great. I'd love to see some recent work, it's been awhile so I know you guys must have had some serious leaps forward. Post a link or a pic if ya can!

Welcome back! There have indeed been many old faces coming out the walls in recent times =)

Yo wiccanpony! What's up! Thank you for the welcome back!

Yes, she's a Gypsy Vanner mare, she's a large stablemate sized resin. Cool to hear you used to do customs. I've got a stack of Breyer bodies sitting here. I keep telling myself I'll get to them...someday. lol!

Not so different from the mini pile you seem to keep adding to then =P There's obviously still very much a home for you here among the many in the same situation haha!

When I first seriously started painting minis it was the LOTR line. I also played the tabletop game but after awhile, GW sorta ran the line into the ground (just MHO don't mean to step on anyone's toes). I started collecting various minis just because I liked the sculpts. Some Warhammer Fantasy stuff, a few Wolfen...no real rhyme or reason to it...I just liked them.

Then the hand tremors got too bad for me to paint that small (still hoping that improves tho), so I packed them away. Ha! More like stacked up the boxes, between the minis and the horses I'm surrounded! Then I found about 10 Andrea and Pegaso minis and loved 'em! Of course they had to come home. What's another box to the stack?

At least when I retire in 30 years I'll have something to do. :p By that time I probably won't care about the hand tremors. lol!

Thanks again! Hopefully I can try painting some more some time soon.

Hello Kath! Ever tried betablockers? I have the same problem and they do help me, alas for a short time only

Hi Yuggoth! Yes, the doc had me on them for a time but I don't have high blood pressure so the the beta blockers made it go too low. But we've been fine tuning the thyroid meds and that's been helping the most. Maybe soon I will get to paint those minis that I can't resist buying. ;)
