I managed to get tomorrow (Friday) off. Thought I'd head over to the coast and watch the next to last shuttle launch. Then I hear the Prez is going to be there. It is circus enough without needing to add the political clown to the areana.

I'll probably stay home and watch it off the patio now.

Does anybody know what the Shuttle replacement is going to be??

Heard something about the Air Force having something called the X-35 Space Plane that they have up and running, but from the sound of things we're contracting the Russians for now. Think that the plan is to get the private companies developing means and stuff. Cheaper, faster, better.

You'd have thought that someone would have suggested something with a little "Style" that the public could get excited about instead of re-hashing a 60's era shape.
OK it might be the 'most effective re-entry' survival shape, but man firing up 'The Dream' in that, sorry not working for me.
