Does what it says on the tin!


I am pleased to announce that my band has now got some choons up online for your aural delight (or discomfort...). So head on over to http://www.facebook.com/Voidstateband for a taste of things to come, and don't forget to 'like' the page to keep up to date with the project. Theres plenty more coming soon! ;)

Can't do that on facebook though, never bothered setting myself up on it.

Ruddy good tunes though. Could well imagine hearing that at a pub/club and asking who that was to check them out online.

Cheers guys! We very much appreciate all your comments and kind words. :)

Chrome - We have a really tight set now and so are just starting the whole promotions/gigging thing in our region. There's certainly enough quality material to put a record together (I have written around a thousand tunes over the last however long), and once the fanbase could support a release then we shall indeed be on the case. :) Downloads and stuff will come soon hopefully too!

Luna - Cheers mate. I'll go have a looksy! :D

Thanks to his description i've now sussed who A luna is on FB, but theres plenty of peeps who I know are fellow painters from thier profile, I just haven't got a clue what thier forum names are... :p

It's just me, but the first thought on the band picture is that the band is waiting on the front wo/man to finish tying up her shoes.

Righty ho then, the next tune from the bands upcoming debut album is now up online as yet another full length preview! Arn't we good to you lot? :p

'Whole' is one of my personal faves that's just begging to be turned up and sing your heart out too. There be some seriously good euphoric pop hooks to uplift your spirits. A great driving song thats been on repeat all day here! :)

Had a great time at the weekend before last at the Wickhamstock mini-fest, which was well earned, and needed too after the crappy weeks i've had recently. :)



It's always funny seeing the response from the 'normals' at this sort of gig, but we converted some at least, and we even got Wickhamstock's first ever mosh pit going (much to the bemusement of the land owner, who shuffled over to tell the throwdown hoodlums to be careful of the little'uns I believe. They carried on anyway :p)



We were saluted by the organiser by being described as "the most creative band they've ever had at the festival", "other-worldly", and "from another parallel dimension" or something. Yeah, he was as drunk at the time... Still, I thought that was a pretty amicable and positive way of saying 'WTF just happened!' :D



Oh and as far as I know, unlike the last family-friendly festival we played, I didn't make any kids cry with those dinosaur noises this time. Hrmm... nevermind.

Also had a meeting the other day, and if all goes according to plan with future discussions we will have a promotion/marketing/distribution deal on the cards!
Not bad for just over a month of online exposure! Woot!
