Can't find - cobweb

Hi All,

I've just spent the last hour in bed searching for an article on how to make realistic cobwebs on a miniature. I'm positive I saw something in the last couple of weeks on the subject but cannot for the life of me find where...

one of the winners at the world expo used that wispy stuffing from cushions. it was then drawn out. very effective

you can use uhu strung out for some larger strands. have also seen hot melt glue glue gun strings used

If, and I mean If, you have no life and are increadibly anally retentive like me, you could go to a hobby centre that sells Beading thread (Clear) and make a frame on which you could place pins and work the beading thread into a web shape. Then lightly spray with Dullcoate and immediatly dust with Talcum powder.

Cheers both. I've got some toy stuffing at home as I use as packing at times, so will play with that and some tweezers. Using beading/nylon thread is also an ace idea, so will give that a go too and see which looks better. I think the thread & talc method does seem really controllable.

Be advised that it does require patience and a good swearbox.
My Swearbox is very handy means of securing money for shows, working with Scousers means I have access to a very colourful vocabulary.

Hehe I reckon I can cope with those conditions. The other half currently lives with her parents in Bridgend so we only see each other every other weekend so providing I pull my finger out rather than vegging in front of the telly I do have enough time to play. Might be putting "IOUs" into the sweatbox though!
