Doing armies on parade - Vampire Counts. Hopifully will win the regional to get throught to GD with it.
But other GD entries....will have to wait and see if I get anything done

i'm not, i was just mocking countersunk! he came up to paint last night and showed me the bases he has done, very nice work (but don't tell him that!)
i still have my plans for 2 duels but i doubt i'll ever finish them! not even sure if i'm going to bother this year. it's lot of money to sit in a pub all day, avoiding sweaty 'orrible teenagers!

Yeah I'm not so fond of being round the stinking teenagers myself. They always seem to be rocking round with massive rucksacks on and everytime they turn they wipe someone out with them.
I was also thinking about doing a duel but I need to finish my Forgeworld Malus Darkblade off 1st.

I found that if you can spot said rucksack coming towards you and grab it with both hands and give it a yank, they do have a habit of falling over - even if they don't a curt "watch what you're doing" is normally enough to make them move
Worst thing they ever did was to allow people to bring armies to play with - sorry if you enjoy it, but it's a complete inconvienience to people who want to walk round and look at things.I started my (2nd attempt) entry on Tuesday - top secret incase I don't get it finished, however I am taking pics as I progress for a monster WIP if I do finish it

lol...im keeping my 40k single mini hush hush for the very same reason
im waiting till august to start my main entry but for a fun 'duel' entry im still trying to acquire the models and i think i might do a grey knight, or a model based on one at least!
@colth most of the events ive been to its been old men with too much facial hair and not enven enough deoderant that is the problem.... soulution? cosplay as guy in gasmask

Lol theres a lot of that too. I remember a few years back I could have sworn Brian Blessed was at GD but it turns out it was someone who looked just like him. I didnt get close enough to see if he smelled like a thrice worn jock strap for 2 reasons: 1, I dont think I could have stomached the stench and 2, I might have got a smack in the chops for insisting he shout 'Hawkmen...DIIIIIIVE!!!' lol

Yeah, what are YOU entering, eh?
TBH the cost and odur are 2 big factors that put me off, almost making me consider skipping this year as I have a ton of other stuff to do. Still planning on going if I get the harlies done, probably won't if not
Oh and thank you for the rare compliment on my work - I expect that's only because you showed me how to go about it

Can't be Ars*d to spend £30 & £12 coach fare for essentially a GW advertising farse.
Its gone downhill badly over the last few years, in fact last years organisation was non-existant and I found myself getting Zero enjoyment out of the day so after 15 years of GD, I've knocked it on the head.

@ Dragonsreach - I was very disappointed by last year's Gamesday but I enjoy competing in Golden Demon so I'm gonna line GW's pockets some more and by a ticket. If my entries get handled like they did last year heads are gonna roll mind you.
@ Ischa - what monster have you done. I was considering one of the new GW plastic nasties from Warhammer. Maybe the Dark Elf dragon.

Thats where the real fun happens anyway!Thats kinds sad DR. Hell it'll cost me double (may be closer to triple that) to get to Chicago. Do have to admit that the last one that I when to (2009) I thought that they had improved on. More SPACE! A couple of times they rented the small rooms/spaces and squeezed everything in. Ugh....
The one thing that I wish they'd do would be to have a separate line for ForgeWorld and the shop. Twenty minutes to get past the gawker slow down that is the display case.
