So I wish I had something fascinating to update you all with, but this weekend I was on escort duty. My 4 year old nephew wanted me to go to Comic Con with him. So that was my weekend.
A few observations -
Games Day - lots of free games, painting demos, scenery demos, fun things to do. Not horribly crowded, lots of open space. The only time they were trying to separate you from your money was at the store, which was clearly marked.
Comic Con - nothing free, horribly crowded, the isles between stalls was no more than 4 feet wide, everything was geared around separating you from your cash. It was like a giant flea market. Totally bogus. The only bright side was seeing some of the actors/actresses there, but even that wasn't cool unless you wanted to fork over cash for pics or autographs. It was all about making money. Lame.
BUT -
Seeing my fellow 501st there was cool, even if I wasn't able to go in uniform haha. And my nephew got to meet Lou Ferrigno, which was awesome since he's such a Hulk fanatic.
