So some time ago i started a winter woodelves army, i built some units, i painted some wardancers, they sat on my desk untill i finally got my arse in gear the other day and decided to finish the army and get some other projects done in an effort to clear my backlog of toys.

Good paint jobs, I like the crispness of that tattoo in his arm. Neat stuff.
As for abuse; get crackin' ya lazy brushlicker! We're getting old here!

rofl! Rather than breaking to peer pressure, I removed all the mirrors from my house so this pot can't see how black he is. :bulgy-eyes:

Lazy brushlicker i like that. so done a bit of work today as Robyn is off rolling dice in anger. Now for an admission to put my backlog in perspective the models i am currently building are from the woodelves army release box set, as were my brets. Yeah i'm shit but, SHINY THINGS!
So how much of a pig are archers to put together and how many @#$%ing mold lines
IMAG0064.jpg

IMAG0065.jpg

so after finding out how much of a pain they are to put together we've gone with put the legs on and let them dry fully before adding anything else.

Much better and i'm no longer looking for my next victim.

we have torsos and heads on, and units looking more haphazard now whilst still ranking up still look odd without the cloaks on but that's next along with basing also added some beastman skulls to the base of one of the units.

and hidden in plain site is the joint woodelves/ bretonnians model any guesses as to what it is?

Hmmm on the right base there, out in front? Looks like a little monkey with a cat's head and butterfly wings... :D

done a bit more work finished building my skirmish movement bases, and built nearly everything. Got the gamezone windriders lovely models well proportioned but truly shite quality control but this is not first ride with them so i was expecting it.

here we are, these are the bases for the skirmishing units.
044-1.jpg

20mm with a 1/4 inch all the way around so that each figure is 1/2 an inch apart.
The squares need to be 33mm x 33mm for those who want to know, 53mm x53mm for 40mm bases, and 38mm x38mm for 25mm bases.
And this is how it works.
045-1.jpg

and here as promised something for meph.
A TREE FULL OF CAT HEADED FLYING MONKEYS. or as its better known a free wood.

So here's the latest bit i've started some Eagle/Warhawk riders and i've gone with gamezone windriders because they are the most anatomically correct for eagles unlike everyone else's GW really need to update theirs it's showing its age.
The only problem is gamezones apparent lack of quality control, if you've ever built one you'll know what i mean.
004.jpg

the black paint covers a lot of green stuff on the right hand eagle which was the worst to do but none went together well but i knew this going in.
This is them based and inked.
006.jpg

and here is the based and inked test glade guard, it will be going on the free wood tree.
