lol always the chancer he chadders, still if you dont ask you dont get ;) .

Skell as for base suggestions and going along with whats already voiced i think the pose would lend itself to " looming out of dense forest on the edge of the savanna pushing some trees over perhaps, he does have that "what you looking at" stance. look forward to you showing off some more with this one.

well paintjob has begun and comming along pretty nicely so far, still i do wish i mastered the airbrush for this one, looooots of skinjob!

still no "bang!!" idea for base, but im going to use the old grenadier rhino skull from the undead captive carrier, perfect size and actually pretty sweet. im thinking of poisoned water hole or something, but then again not sure. stay tuned...

Just thinking that if you've got a rhino skull then there's room for him to be conducting a ritual to raise it back to a life. As a mate? Room for symbols on the floor or melty candles, oh and sacrificial victims of course. Glowy OSL opportunities from magic being raised in the skull. Or the candles. Or the event that allows the ritual, an eclipse reflected in a pool?

I realise I don''t know what he's holding in his other hand though :D

thinking of it, it had been cool to do a shakespear-yoric scene, but i dont want to ruin the piece with crappy sculpting :D

I'm going to enjoy this Rhino challenge, Skell! You've got a bit of a head start on me, especially since I can't start painting mine until next week at the earliest. Hopefully I can finish on time anyway!

aw man that rhino is really awesome. shame i cant paint big surfaces... not that it´s attaineable, but i wanna paint something by alan:p

Show us first colors applied on it... go go go...!

I was thinking about some small 15-20mm spearmans trying to fight or keep back the rhino after he stomped through a wall. Another great idea can be seen over at massive voodoo. Jarhead painetd that one too (or is still painting it). He added a bunch of smaller animals running in the same direction ads the rhino is looking. Great scene!

Glad to see you painting this mini. It definitely fits your style and will look fantastic when its completed. How much water are you adding to your paints for the glazes? The color transitions are looking very smooth.

hard to say exactly how dilluted the paints are, but its a lot. its like a zillion layers there and still not finished.

Typically nice brushwork Skel and I'm enjoying how light he is, your work tends to darken up toward completion (says my memory).
