really? i find it can have some really nice effects!^^ tip by the way, unless you have, go check out inex nylonbrushes. i really like them, and best of all, they´re moneyfriendly. bought 12 of them yesterday fr less than 200kr. that´s like one of gws.

guess that depends on weathering stuff used. MIG oil stain mix is a no-go, obviously... oh well.

haha cool, i also use cheapa$$ nylonbrushes from inex at times, about 10-15 SEK per brush. dig them!

cheers flunk :)

been reworking the grave guard hero a little bit, as i weren't totally happy with the end result. indeed sometimes its a good thing to take a break from a larger project. cut down the ruin bit with the flaming bowl, and pimped the guy with some etched stuff to make him look more champion-ish. think it turned out muuuuch better! (snow looks way better irl though wft!). white bg wasnt really fitting but oh well.

hey thanks Joren! :)

the metallics of the grave guards is painted (glaced) in a lots of colours actually, starting dark red --> midnight blue --> mignight blue+vallejo smoke --> midnight blue+black. highlighted silver --> metallic medium. looks really stylish as it gets all the way from black to "white", painted the same way as nmm.

oh check out this article by automaton, great help for learning to paint metal with metallics :)

Really awesome, your recent stuff, once again.

That rhino is looking very dangerous, aggressive and cruel. I like how the skin colour turns out; it’s a composition of so many colour tones merging to one authentic, realistic looking skin, wow. And those eyes look so intensive…, saying: “Better not standing in my path when I start to steamroll everything…” (PS: Would a halberd +5 dealing additional ice damage be sufficient to stop it…? Think I’d prefer some upgraded crossbow, anyway ;))

I like your grave guards, too, and agree concerning the metals. Great work on that freehand. But I think the first 3 pictures turn out to be just a bit too dark in order to identify all those little details appropriately.
