Yeah maybe, will only take a few min to put back; thought I'd give it a go and see what it turned out like ......meh so so.

Glad you like the armour as that's fini now. Quite pleased with how the little base is turning out. Did a mould of the green knights shield so it wasnt a total waste;)

I think the OSL would work it is just covering too much surface area. If you want OSL I would keep it just tone down the coverage of it.

I think the base will be nice too.

top work, top - real smooth blends. Im not into the osl but many have done it in the gallery and it works well with this mini so keep it me thinks :)

Base is looking sweet and I see a skull on there so ive lost on default, a skull always wins!!!

Not liking the OSL but the rest of the mini is v.nice indeed. I like the OSL on the mini but I just don't think the green works so well in this instance.

OK some more rough and ready photos still more work to be done especialy cleaning up the wooden base didnt notice the grubyness of the wood until now.

Kept the OSL but reduced the coverage what do you think yes or no?

Cobwebed the base yes or no?

Awww...he's so little and look at those big feet!

The one thing I'm not sure about and it's just because I'm clueless, is he marching forward or falling over backward because of the weight of the sword? He's so tiny it's hard to tell exactly what's going on.

But he looks fantastic and the base is awesome!

mmmmmmm im stuck now, going have to think real hard on how to top that base. I think I will go real simple.

The base looks great but there is a lot of it which distracts, for me, from the mini.

The mini itself is niiiice. I like the OSL more now you have toned it down. No freehand in there? not the obligatory swirly bits?

Loose the shield and strip some (only some) of the cobwebs off you think?

Might do a bit of swirly on the underside of the foot. Did do some but it seemed to distract from the over all effect of the mini so painted back over.

Yeah i like the OSL now theres less coverage and hence more contrast think I'll keep it.

Alas its the smallest display base I have the mini as you know is well....mini.:)

The only alternative would be to put it on a gaming base ....shudder....what do you think?

and the base looks ace! hope you don't mind me asking but how did you get those cobwebs?

Cheers mate yep cartoony as he's a funny little spud;)

Cobwebs are just UHU glue.

Put a blob between finger and thumb rub it together a little then stretch apart creating strands which with a little downward pass of the hand you place over the base, mini, wife's head while she's sleeping and take photos ( only joking on the last ye gods SHMBO would kill me);)

Looking great! I think if you move him forward on the base so the sword is not out past the edge of the base might bring it more in balance. See how that looks.

Hi Andy,

Not much to add on top of other comments. I will say that once again you have hit the lighting spot on. I'm going to paint this guy when he arrives and will also go back to NMM for him and I'll be using this as a light guide.

Great work.
Cheers

Thanks Wildoring he's a lovely little mini to paint and nmm is definitely the one to go for with this one. Also that's a very nice compliment saying you'd use this for lighting thanks.
