Waiting time for a photo to be validated

Hello, not sure if this is a bug or if your mods are just busy.... I uploaded a mini pic on the 9th and it still has the status of 'waiting' 2 days later, the image id is 309676. I'm in the UK so am I right in assuming that I have to wait for a mod in the US to validate it?

I am also in the UK and have been waiting since around this time yesturday.

Maybe they just have a large workload at the moment?

It usually takes 24 hours or less. I'd guess workload, either here or real life. CMON is blocked by certain companies, so they cant do it even on breaks.

And I think any mod can approve it, so it wouldn't matter what country.

Same problem here in germany. I also added a picture on 9th. Dropped a mail to the admins already, because I thought of a bug or something. But since you are also having issues, I guess we have to be patient :yawn:.

Regretfully I can not get on to Coolmini everyday as I used to, and as a result some people are experiencing a delay in approval of images.
There are 109 images and some 150+ comments to be sorted today, yours will be amongst them.

Thanks Dragonsreach. The Image is now online. Is is just you, who is approving the pictures ? It was just that my previous pictures were approves within half a day and this took much longer, that's why I was wondering. Why do they have to be approved anyway ? Is it to exclude unwanted advertisements ? In order to reduce the backlog, would it be feasible to let someone who is uploading an image approve one image of a different painter ?

It was just that my previous pictures were approves within half a day and this took much longer, that's why I was wondering. It used to be even quicker than that, I used to be able to have coolminiornot open at work (in the background) but pathetic rules now mean we have a filter system which even prevents me from researching Fixes on HP's site
Why do they have to be approved anyway ? Is it to exclude unwanted advertisements ? No not just unwanted adverts, we've had images which were "Unsuitable", some rubbish and some posters try to run 100's of pictures of the same mini, add to that the high number of people who can't rotate a picture and it takes a little time.
In order to reduce the backlog, would it be feasible to let someone who is uploading an image approve one image of a different painter ?
While it sounds good in principle, it could leave the site open to "Buddy Buddy" cliques much along the lines of some voting suspicions.
