Yes. Number 12 for me. Missed a year due to some psychos crashing planes into some buildings and killing lots of people. Had to go over to his country and teach him the error of his ways.

Gencon is a great experience! No matter where I'm at, I'll pay the money to make it to Gencon. Except for those times when I can't. Luckily, it only took a war to stop me one year. :)

is it just games or are there figure displays too? I am unfamiliar with it all. I am kinda hoping it is like a big figure show.

It is a gaming convention highlighted by celebrities, pop culture icons and is generally when many gaming companies roll out their big products for the year. I'd suggest you check out their website but I would venture to say it is the largest collection of bit boxes you have ever seen (even with Reaper unable to make it this year).

I'll be there. Last time I attended it was held in Milwaukee and 2nd edition D&D was run by TSR. I also wasn't married with children... thus the lack of funds to attend in 10+ years.

What Savanttheory said. It is mostly about games though, board, role play, wargame, etc. Many mini companies set up there. Cmon, Darksword, Wyrd, etc. Sorry to hear Reaper will not be there. The vendor hall alone is usually worth going for, with lots of hard to find stuff. Not sure how long I've been going, but I started going 4 or 5 years before it left Milwaukee and moved to Indy. Indy itself is great place to have the con. Plenty of restaurants and bars to go have a frosty one! ;) If you see a samoan looking, long haired stocky dude, with dragon tattoos on the arm say hello! that would be me.


ps- @Milosh Many of the vendors do have miniature displays at their booths and there is a painting contest there as well
