I'm still in Texas - my flight was supposed to leave at 6:05 this morn - but it was cancelled due to mechanical problems. They only have two flights scheduled today anyway so I won't be leaving until late this afternoon. The problem is the layover in DFW. All the flights to Chicago are booked until after 9. I hope and pray I can get standby otherwise I won't get to Chicago until ungodly late.

Either the Fates don't want me to go (usually means avoidance of death when they work this hard) or my destiny is a Slayer Sword.

I'm in Google+ chat for a bit if anyone wants to stop by and cheer me up. lol!

Gotta finish stuff anyway since I won't be able to tonight.

That's a Fates issue, right there. The level of meddling in your life that you've experienced recently could only possibly be due to Higher Powers either saving you from a sticky end, or possibly just having a laugh at your expense. It's hard to tell with Higher Powers.

Kath, sometimes you just need to look fate in the eye and spit in its face i am planning on driving up to Chicago for a bit to see everyones figs and i am looking forward to your big birdie.

I find it terribly amusing that the title of this thread becomes "Kath's Hitchhikers Guide to Golden Demon by way of utter" in my interface settings. Utter being the swedish word for otter, I can just imagine Kath riding a large otter with her mind set on getting to Chicago in time!
