Not ONE painted Cang??

Cang the Implacable has been available for purchase for ages now, and I'm sure has sold quite well ( in that he gets restocked from time to time).

Yet not ONE painted Cang has appeared in the gallery!

What gives...is he that hard to paint?
I'm not a particaurly inspirational painter, and usually draw my ideas from other works, so far I only have the red/blue cang shown in teh CMON store.

Can anyone link me another completed Cang??

Everyone here just collects miniatures we don't actually paint them.
Personally I'm still intimidated by it and I have so many other projects that I need to finish for gaming.

WOAH, hang on, you have assembled yours???

Any tips? I got mine out of the box, cleaned up the parts, tried to dry fit it together, and realised just assembling it would be darn near impossible!

You really have to leave the dragon off the base for painting, but assembling the dragon in such a way that it actually fits on the base... without actually GLUEING it on...my GOD!

I think I will have to use a really long, well-aligned pin in the foot joint, while you shuffle the various parts around, as getting the left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, and belly ALL aligned correctly at the same time on the tower...well, nightmares are made of kinder stuff.

Not completely assembled. I have the wings on the body, and the two halves of the body together. And there's definitely going to be some gap filling/sculpting required to clean that up. After that, you're right about the assembly. Though you could probably assemble the entire dragon, paint it, then mount it to the tower.

No, you can't, not for sure
The alignment requirements are huge, all those rocks on both hands, AND the belly have to fit exactly into the niche created for them, the leg exactly onto the foot stuck to the tower, the OTHER leg exactly into it's gap in the rocks...boy!

I was halfway saving up for Cang, but Reaper and it's 6 (or was it 7?) Kickstarter dragons hoarded all my monies.

But hey, don't let that stop anybody from turning this thread or starting a new one into a WIP Cang thread.

That's a really awesome colour scheme you have used, I would never have thought of that!
I painted my titan Dragon purple, but the idea of painting the scales in an adjacent colour (on the colour wheel) is brilliant.
